Tony is the Director of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s Orthopedic Center’s [U18] Sports Medicine program. Tony obtained his Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences from FIU in 2000, a healthcare MBA and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification in 2012 also from FIU and is a nationally certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainer’s Association since 2001. Tony has many years of experience as an athletic trainer with many organizations, including the FIU men’s soccer team and the Miami Fusion. Tony has worked with Memorial Healthcare system for 20 years in various roles including coordinator for Memorial Healthcare System’s Sports Center’s Return-to-Sport Program which he was instrumental in creating. Tony has worked with athletes of all levels, from youth to professionals and has devoted much of his career in becoming a specialist in human motion and biomechanics. Tony is a proud graduate of Leadership Broward class XXXI and currently sits on the executive board for the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce as treasurer, the David Posnack JCC board of directors and the Broward County School Board Sports Medicine committee. Tony has also served as committee chair for the Tour de Broward Power of Play Kid’s Zone for the past 7 years. Tony is married to Tina Milian who is a pediatric occupational therapists at Memorial Hospital West and together have a 10 month old son Lucas.
