Dr. Andrew Gupta is a dual fellowship trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Memorial Healthcare System. He specializes in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults with all sports injuries, ankle and foot conditions including clubfoot and flatfoot deformity and hip pathology. During his fellowships he received advanced training in the most current treatment of sports injuries of the hip, knee and shoulder. As a triathlete and avid outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Gupta understands the importance of a healthy and quick return to full function.

Both of Dr. Gupta’s parents worked in healthcare. His father as a general surgeon and mother as a nurse. It was a natural process to follow them into healthcare as a caregiver and pursue his own way to help others heal.

When working with patients, Dr. Gupta believes education is key. This helps both patients and their families understand the diagnosis and treatment options. He is a believer in a shared decision-making process leading to optimal treatment for each situation.

In addition to providing individual patient care, Dr. Gupta also enjoys serving as a team physician for many sports. He has worked with Judge Memorial Catholic High School boy’s football, Salt Lake City Stallions (American Alliance of Football), University of Utah men’s football, University of Utah women’s volleyball, University of Utah women’s gymnastics and Utah Jazz (NBA basketball).
