Marcelo Martinez, DPT

Marcelo has been a practicing physical therapist since 1993, after receiving his Entry Level Masters in Physical Therapy at University of Miami. He has been within the Memorial Healthcare System for 22 years, administering balance vestibular physical therapy treatment since 1999 after completing Vestibular Rehabilitiation: A Competency Course at University of Miami under the instruction of Susan Herdman. During that time at Memorial West, he also completed his Transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2013. Since then, he has attended and completed several other vestibular, concussion and neurological classes and certifications to further his knowledge and specialty. Marcelo is also very active with continuing education, providing over 40 lectures and courses discussing topics including, but not limited to vestibular rehab and cervical spine evaluation and treatment. He has also taught multiple courses for CEUs on BPPV and vestibular rehab. He contributes his knowledge monthly to the Memorial U-18 Concussion Team, which helps to provide multidisciplinary treatment for the adolescent athlete post-concussion. Finally, Marcelo is a well published clinician, presenting articles in Advance PT Magazine.
